Radiodetection MRX Cable and Marker Locator
The new MRX locator from Radiodetection is designed not only for locating cables and wires but also for detecting EMS marker balls—making it a perfect tool for anyone working with EMS marker systems.
The MRX detects all 9 EMS frequencies and automatically provides depth information for each. The locator features an updated Bluetooth connection, enabling data transfer to mapping applications and remote control of the TX10B transmitter. Remote operation works at distances of up to 450 m. The TX10B also includes a SideStep function, which slightly shifts the frequency (e.g., from 33 kHz). This is ideal in areas where multiple transmitters are in use simultaneously.
Different frequencies can be used for cable locating to ensure reliable detection even in electrically noisy environments. The device is compatible with RD’s TX series signal generators, available in 5W and 10W versions, and supports the most common sonde frequencies, such as 512 Hz and 33 kHz.
The RD Manager PC software offers a range of useful tools, including updating the locator to the latest firmware version.
