Description
The A-frame is an accessory for cable locators, designed to locate ground faults caused by damaged cable insulation. It connects to the cable locator via a cable. The faulty cable is disconnected from the network, and a TX transmitter is connected galvanically. The transmitter is set to the 8 kHz fault-finding frequency.
Using the A-frame, cable ground faults can be located with an accuracy of up to 10 centimeters.
